What's Inside
No fine print, no "and other ingredients." This is everything in the box: four simple things you could read off the back of a pantry shelf. We keep the list short on purpose — because a short list is easy to trust, easy to pronounce, and easy to live with wash after wash.
Why So Short
We didn't trim the formula down to look minimal. We started with the question "what actually does the work?" — and it turned out the answer was small.
You can pronounce every word on our label. That isn't a marketing line; it's the test we hold ourselves to.
Most laundry products carry a long tail of things that aren't really cleaning your clothes — fillers to add bulk and weight, synthetic fragrance blends hidden behind a single word, brighteners that coat fabric to trick your eye. Each one is another thing your skin can react to and another thing you can't quite picture. We left all of it out.
What's left are four honest workers: washing soda, baking soda, Epsom salt, and sea salt. Nothing to hide behind, nothing held back as a trade secret. Fewer ingredients means fewer things to react to, and a powder you can hand to a neighbor and explain in one breath.
If we can't say plainly what something is and why it's in the box, it doesn't go in the box.
The Four
Four things, four roles. Here's what each one is, what it's actually doing in the wash, and why it earned its place.
Sodium carbonate, a mineral cousin of baking soda. It's the muscle of the formula: it softens hard water so detergent isn't wasted fighting minerals, and it loosens and lifts everyday grime, oils, and dirt out of fibers. If one ingredient is doing the heavy cleaning, it's this one.
Sodium bicarbonate, the same box you'd keep in the fridge. It balances the wash water's pH so cleaning stays effective and gentle, and it neutralizes odors at the source instead of masking them. It's also the quiet carrier for our optional scent layer.
Magnesium sulfate, mild and skin-friendly. It's gentle on both fabric and skin, helping clothes come out soft rather than stiff, and it helps keep the powder dry and ready to dissolve. A small thing that makes the whole wash feel kinder.
Unrefined sea salt, nothing stripped out. Its job is texture: it keeps every scoop loose and clump-free, so the powder pours clean and measures the same on day one and day ninety. Humble, but it's the reason the box never turns into a brick.
Scent, Honestly
We keep the clean and the smell apart on purpose — so you always know exactly what you're getting.
Real Oil, Not Fragrance
Our scent is a light layer of real essential oil, carried on a little baking soda and folded into the powder — never a synthetic fragrance blend hiding behind the word "parfum." Natural scent behaves differently than the synthetic kind: it's gentle in the box, soft on your clothes, and it fades clean rather than clinging for days. If you want clothes that simply smell like clean clothes, that's the point.
Pick the layer that suits you, or skip it entirely:
Lavender · Lemon · Peppermint · Eucalyptus · Unscented (no scent layer at all — just the four).
What's Left Out
We're more proud of what isn't in the box than of any clever additive. Here's everything we leave out — no asterisks.
An Honest Note
This powder is built for the regular rhythm of laundry — sheets, towels, shirts, the daily pile. It's a gentle, dependable clean. For set-in marks, grease, or protein stains, give them a quick pre-treat first; an enzyme-boosted version is on our roadmap, but it's not for sale yet. We'd rather tell you that than over-promise.
