The Workhorse
Sodium carbonate softens hard water and lifts everyday grime so the rest of the wash can do its work.
The Freshener
Sodium bicarbonate balances pH and neutralizes odor — the same quiet workhorse that has deodorized fridges for decades.
The Softener
Magnesium sulfate keeps the powder dry and pourable, and is gentle on skin and easy on fabric.
The Flow
A pinch of unrefined sea salt keeps every scoop loose and clump-free. That is it — that is the whole recipe.
One scoop — about a tablespoon — per load. Best in warm or hot water.

We are Nate and his wife, mixing laundry powder by hand at the kitchen table. We started because the "clean" detergents we trusted were either a mile-long ingredient list or a mystery — so we built the opposite.
